Coronavirus Pandemic Economic Impact

Coronavirus Pandemic Economic Impact

Americans are experiencing a detrimental financial impact. About 33% of voters have either lost their jobs or have been furloughed. Being furloughed means temporary leave of employees due to special circumstances in order to protect people and the company. The result of this causes a financial shortage for many American citizens, preventing someone from being able to cover basic costs. Minorities are suffering the most throughout this crisis, as some rely on each paycheck for survival. Even though a check of $1,200 to adults and $500 to children is sent, this money is still not enough for monthly coverage.
Since most people are staying at home, there is a lack of cash flow, which is causing an economic crisis. Businesses are being shut down due to lack of customers and protecting employees. America is taking great precautions of safety to stop the coronavirus spread, but this is at the cost of leading the country possibly into trends of the Great Depression.
