United Congress, Sometimes

When we think of our congress, very little as none of us want to at the current time, with think of high polarization, and a lot of pointless fighting, but some good things have come out of this congress. The main one that I am going to talk about today is NASA, and the funding for it. In 2019, NASA got the best budget from congress than it has in the last 30 years, inflation adjusted. This massive budget, almost 30 billion dollars is meant to fund several programs ranging from normal task with plane and earth science, to lunar mission, and perhaps even manned missions to mars. PUTTING PEOPLE ON MARS.
This idea was pushed forward by the current president, and was met with overwhelming support by all of congress combined, adding more to the idea, and getting more funding than expected. This one legislative act gives us hope as a culture as one, we will literally advance in science and technology, and 2, we got our government to agree on something, to unite, and make meaningful change, something that doesn't happen very often in our own government. Another aspect of why this worked so well is the eclipse that happened not too long before this. Lots of people knew about it, and changed their lives to view it, so as the budget was being made, public option about space was way up, and there was a lot of NASA support.
